Mixed Media Artist Patty Mcfarlane...

Patty grew up in Salem, Oregon, where she met her husband and raised her children. She later moved to Detroit Lake Oregon in the Cascade foothills, a beautifully quiet and isolated place to live.

She knitted and created crafts to sell during her time there and explored a variety of creative genres.

They later moved to Puerto Vallata where Patty worked hard to develop her art, with a focus on learning acrylic painting .

Early in the pandemic they found themselves isolated from family when tragedy struck with a terrible accident for a family member. Never wanting to be in that helpless situation ever again they later moved back to Oregon, where Patty continues developing her art and and finding deep joy in her artwork and creative journey.

Patty says that she hopes her legacy will not only be to create with joy but to help others along the way. It is her mission to use her gifts to lift others, either financially or by teaching or working beside them. She wants to empower women to keep going towards their dreams, even if they start small as she did, with a box of stick figure greetings cards.
